You've arrived at musical theatre 101 where Gymnastics World of Georgia is busy preparing Broadway's next generation Tony award winners. Your child will experience the life of a Broadway chorus gypsy, a talented ensemble player capable of breaking into song and dance at the drop of a hat. Sound familiar? This is a fun and exciting environment for kids to learn to move and dance while beginning to develop the discipline it takes to become a well-rounded dancer. Creative Movement focuses on free movement expression, developing motor skills and inspiring a true appreciation for dance.

pre-ballet 6 yrs
This class is designed to begin teaching basic ballet technique with an emphasis on building dance vocabulary and technique. With a disciplined class structure students will learn to work hard and have fun at the same time.

creative movement 2; creative movement 2/ tap 4 & 5 yrs*
An extension of Creative Movement 1, this class takes learned motor skills and works to perfect them. With continued emphasis on free dance expression, Creative Movement 2 encourages love for dance with a focus on correct movement and technique.

4 & 5 yrs dance/ gym combo
This class is offered as a split dance class with 30min of Creative Movement 2 and 30min of Gymnastics. For this level we also offer an hour and a half class with 45min of Creative Movement 2 and 45min of Gymnastics.

primary ballet 5 yrs;
primary ballet/ tap 5 & 6 yrs
Designed to teach basic ballet in a safe fun environment, students will receive an introduction to classical ballet technique, vocabulary, and discipline. They will begin to learn how to express themselves through dance while having fun.

In the Creative Movement1&2 / Tap classes, this section is a 15min introduction to beginning tap. It emphasizes technique as a means for tapping your toes. Filled with lots of noise, this portion of the class will help teach isolated body control and rhythm.

With an emphasis on ballet technique and discipline, this class is a fun way to learn to move and dance in a structured safe environment. In this class, ballet steps and vocabulary are integrated to provide students with a stable base to become strong successful dancers.

beginning ballet 2
Ballet 1 required
An extension of beginning ballet 1, this class continues to develop technique through more advanced steps and dance vocabulary. Designed for fun, this class will teach students to perform and work to perfect skills that will help them continue to dance successfully (this class meets twice a week).

beginning tap 1/ 6 yrs & up
This class is designed to teach rhythm, muscle control, and classical tap technique in a fun up-beat environment. Students will learn to move on the beat with control and precision as well as view their every step as an opportunity to dance.

beginning jazz 1/ 6 yrs & up
A fun exciting class that will teach students to move to the beat as well as learn great technique, this class is a great way to produce well rounded dancers who can move with strength as well as grace.

An extension of beginning jazz 1, this class is designed to take students to the next level of jazz dancing with an emphasis on correct body alignment and technique. Students will work to perfect skills and learn to perform.
